If you would like to join our network of telephone teachers,
there are several options available to you.

1. ESLgold Teacher

We have a limited number of these positions open.
Applicants must be highly qualified, with degrees and experience
in Teaching English as a Second Language. They must also
be familiar with ESLgold materials and be willing to follow
a rather strict program with their students.

2. Private Tutor

Tutors place their "teaching profiles" on our database,
and we match our students with them.
Salaries and schedules are negotiated between students and teachers.
We recommend US$10-25 per hour.

There is a US$5 monthly ($50 annual) fee for placing your
teaching profile on ESLgold's database.

3. Volunteer Teacher

Teachers place their teaching profiles on our database as "volunteers"
and offer instruction to students for free.
(We do not charge volunteers the monthly fee.)

If you are studying to become a teacher, this is a great way
to gain some teaching experience. It also enables students
who can't afford regular fees to participate in the program.

If you change your status from "volunteer" to "personal tutor,"
please let us know so that we can inform the students that you are
no longer working for free.

4. Language Exchange Partner

A great way to get some practice in another language!
We'll hook you up with English students who speak various languages,
and you can arrange to do language exchange with them directly.
There is a US$25 registration fee for this service.

We recommend that all teachers, tutors, students, language
exchange partners, and volunteers sign up for the
free Internet telephoning service.
